Montmija is our strongest and most authentic brand of organic wines. The site for the first vines was acquired by Clément Vialade at the end of World War II. As early as 1973, Jean Vialade began transitioning the vineyards to organic and in 2000 Claude gave the Montmija brand European reach.

This wine is  perfect for drinking throughout the meal, with cold, grilled or stewed meat, or a copious starter. 

Grape-variety 100% Syrah
Soil clay-limestone
Winemaking The thermo-regulated fermentation lasts 25-30 days. Frequent, regular pump-overs. During the whole wine making process we do our best to limit the use of chemicals : use of indegenious yeast, low values of SO2.
Robe dark intense with purple reflects
Nose deep and spicy firstly on leather and fresh tobacco notes. The nose open quickly on ripe fruits aromas.
Mouth The mouth is full with some softness. The aromatic is intense and fruity on nose of blackcurrant and blackberries. The tannins are soft and presence. 
Serving temperature 18°C.
