Our company was launched in March '95. Its foundation are a comprehensive understanding of our region along with the work of research, investigation and repeated tastings. Thus we are able to put together or select a particular wine to correspond to the profile laid down by our customers within an agreed economic framework.

We carry out this work on ordinary table wines of character, vins de pays in blends or as varietals, but also for the region's AOC wines which are the real core of our know-how.

Reinventing craftmanship on an industrial scale

The directors have devized a "cellular" form for the company, by which priority is given to enhancing skills and competence and to making each unit a complement to the others.


Family-owned estates, flagbearers and nucleus of the company

Their wines have individual, highly personalized identities. They correspond to a "first growth" approach and ensure that SAS Les Domaines Auriol enjoys a position among fine wines and well-crafted brands. Company wines at this level now have an established international reputation.

The wineries are partners of Les Domaines Auriol

  • They provide a range that covers the region, reflects the region's internal hierarchy in wines and is complete. Such wines are marketed under our partner's own brand names (Château Carbonac, Domaine du Chapitre ...), or under our own (Fontauriol, Belle Occitane des Vins ....).
  • Some of these wines are vinified and matured to serve as a quality backup, ensuring product consistency when used in blendings.
  • We also operate as a normal wine dealer, selecting tanks across different wineries and estates for inclusion in our blends. In this way prices remain competitive and a wide base is available for sourcing.
  • A contract agreement with several winegrowers is presently being finalized to develop a range of personalized, barrel-aged wines reflecting a given terroir. This range will be of the same quality as the wines from our family-owned estates and will be a complement to them.

Vinification & Maturing

  • The wines of the family estates are vinfied, matured and bottled in our estate wineries.
  • The wines we acquire as wine traders are vinified or selected by our enologists and matured on the premises of our partners (independent estates or cooperative wineries) under the supervision of the cellarmasters. 

Blending and making up

  • The wines, blended and fined/filtered in the cellars to ensure that quality remains consistent, provide the selected cuvées that come from assorted production areas.

Bottling

  • After fining/filtering, the wines go to the bottling plants. The bottling lines can handle the following bottles sizes : 18.7cl, 25cl, 37,5 cl, 75cl, 100cl and 50cl, as well as bag-in-box pouches.
